Managing mental health in the workplace

Mental health training for line managers

When: Monday 10th July 2017 (9.30am – 12.30 pm)

Where: Beacon Centre, Sedgley

Price: £60 per person.

About the course:

This three hour employer focused course has been designed specifically to help line managers to:

  1. Understand and identify the signs of mental health problems
  2. Intervene early to minimise the impact on the employee and the business
  3. Support employees with mental health problems more effectively

Focusing on practice not policies, the course aims to equip line managers to support and manage team members experiencing mental health problems by better understanding mental health problems, improving skills and increasing confidence in having conversations around mental health.

The course is also suitable for Directors, HR, Occupational Health, trade union and other staff representatives who want to increase their knowledge and awareness of mental health in the workplace.

Diversity: The State of Things @ Platters Cafe

The Inkwell Creative Writing Group are a peer support group run by volunteers with the support of Dudley Mind.

On Friday the 14th and 28th of July from 6:30 – 8:30pm the group will be performing Diversity: The State of Things, an interactive anthology inspired by Shakespear’s The Merchant of Venice.

The performance will consist of a good mix of stories both funny and serious for everyone to enjoy.

The venue for the performance will be

Tickets are available on the door the night of the performance and will cost

£2.50 for adults
£1.50 under 18’s
