Evening Anxiety & Depression Self Management programme @ Henry Court Dudley

Our first ever evening anxiety and depression Self Management Programme starts on the 15th of January at Henry Court, Dudley in  partnership with Nehemiah UCHA. Read on to find out more and how to book a place.

Self management programmes (SMPs) are available for adults living within the Dudley area with a long-term health condition, anxiety and/or depression, or for those in a caring role. SMPs aim to improve your quality of life by giving you confidence, skills and information to help manage your long-term condition or caring role better on a daily basis.

Please note that in order to be able to take part in a Self Management Programme you must live within the Dudley area and/or have a Dudley based GP.

The programmes are FREE and run for 2.5 hours, once a week for six weeks.

Dudley Mind’s Self Management Programmes run all year round. Each course takes place once a week, for 6 weeks and is tutored by trained volunteers who themselves are living with a long term health condition.

See what two of our Self Management Programme tutors have to say about the programme in this shot video.

Our daytime courses usually run on a Tuesday or a Wednesday between 10:30am – 1:00pm in Stourbridge.

From January 15th 2018 we will be running evening Self Management Programmes at Henry Court in Dudley town Centre 6:00pm – 8:30pm in the evening.

Topics include:

  • Getting a good nights sleep
  • Coping with difficult emotions/depression
  • Relaxation techniques and exercise
  • Healthy eating
  • Communicating with friends and family and health professionals
  • Dealing with pain and extreme tiredness

By taking part in a programme you will:

  • Learn new skills to manage your health condition
