Skydiving for mental health
On the 12th of August 2018, 44 year old West Midlands Social Worker Sonya will be taking part in a tandem skydive to help raise funds for Dudley Mind.
Sonya has had her own personal experiences with post-natal depression and she has successfully overcome them with the help and support of mental health services.
After overcoming her own mental health difficulties, Sonya now works with young people and children, helping them overcome their own mental health difficulties in the context of experiencing childhood trauma.
Maintaining a balance
As a way of keeping her own mental health balanced, Sonya enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going for walks in nature with her two dogs, Toby (toy poodle) and Maisey (Cavapoo) – Toby is Maisey’s dad) as well as taking photos of nature.
If you would like to help support Sonya reach her fundraising goal of £300 please visit her JustGiving page.
