Mental Health Awareness

Small training groupThis course was developed alongside people living with mental health distress so it will give you a unique insight into what being unwell is like and what helps recovery.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Create an action plan for yourself based on ‘The Five Ways to Wellbeing’
  • Recognise the signs and symptoms of depression
  • Understand the experience of hearing voices
  • Identify what helps people to recover and stay well

The course is delivered over half a day and is participative. Usually one of the course facilitators will have a lived experience of mental health distress and will be able to share their story with you.

Organisations who are working with the public have found this course useful as it has given them an understanding of people with mental health distress who use their services and what they might need.
