Mental Health First Aiders

You may be aware of first aid at work for people who suffer physical injuries, but did you know that there is also a first aid course for mental health? Just like our physical health, our mental health can be in need of a bit of first aid from time to time. Having a qualified Mental Health First Aider in your workplace, school, community group or even in your group of friends can make a huge difference to someone who is in a mental health crisis and in need of someone they can turn to during difficult times.

One in four people in the UK will experience mental health difficulties in any given year, which is quite a high number when you think that every fourth person you see when doing your shopping, while you are at work, in the pub or just sitting on the bus is potentially experiencing mental health problems.
