Motorcycle ride out 2018
Sunday the 25th of March marked the first year of what we hope will be an annual motorcycle ride out in aid of Dudley Mind. The ride commenced from Himley Hall taking on a 19.7 mile ride circling the Borough and returning back to Himley in just under an hour.
Over 200 Bikers turned up to the event raising around £2000 in total.
Hells Angels, Bikes, Pork Baps and Leather Jackets
The day began with various different stalls setting up ready for the public to arrive, selling everything from pork baps to hand bags and clothing. There was also live announcements, music and banter from DJ Porky who was set up in an event support unit just across from where we were.
Hell of a donation
A number of Hells Angels from all around the Black Country showed up to the event on Sunday to show their support, as well as to make a surprise donation of £1000. This is a fantastic boost to the funds being raised by the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Dave Tyler for Dudley Mind.
Update – 3/4/2018
We were recently informed that the money raised was a combined effort of 8 Motorcycle Clubs within the Black Country.
We would like to thank all of the clubs involved, so a massive thanks to;
Hells Angels MC Wolverhampton
Red Devils MC Telford
Incubus MC Wednesbury
Traitors MC Wallsall
Stone Cross MC Stourbridge
Kavern MCC Wallsall
Lynxx MCC Wednesbury
It was great to see the Hells Angels from various Motorcycle Clubs come along to the event. After all, what good is a Motorbike show without a group as iconic as the Hells Angels?
Bikes, bikes and more bikes
As you can guess there were a lot of motorbikes, around 200 of them in total ranging all the way up from mopeds to superbikes.
Enjoy the 39 picture slideshow of most of the bikes at the show below.
Until next year..
Mind Ride is expected to continue as an annual event, getting bigger and better as the years go by. We hope to see all of the people who attended the event again next year as well as many more bikers from in and around the Black Country join in for the first time.
So until next year, goodbye and thank you, from all at Dudley Mind.
