Introduction to Mindfulness

What is Mindfulness? 

A mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

A 6 week course that introduces mindful techniques to help you live a fuller and happier life.

Mindfulness is about being mentally focused on the present moment, not absorbed in regrets, plans, worries or other thoughts.

When we practise mindfulness we are more aware of the things that help us to be calm and happy.  We are also more aware of our thought patterns that take us in the opposite direction. With this awareness, we can take positive choices in everyday life.
