Tuesday the 10th of October 2017 marked the date for World Mental Health Day.
All over the world people celebrated the day by running various activities and events to help raise awareness and funds for many different mental health charities and organisations. The day is also an opportunity for all organisations who provide mental health services to spread the word about how they can help people who may be currently experiencing mental health difficulties.
This years theme was Workplace Wellbeing, 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem during our life time, and this can also effect our working lives. Workplace wellbeing is all about teaching employers how to look after their employees who may be experiencing mental health problems and help them to make their workplace healthier.
Over in our small part of the world, Dudley Council and Public Health held a drop in cafe for anyone to come along to and discuss mental health. During the day Public Health managed to raise a total of £120 which they kindly donated to Dudley Mind.
We would like to thank all involved for helping to raise money for us, your help and continued support is greatly appreciated. The money raised will help us to continue to providing services to people in the Dudley area needing help and support for their mental health problems.
