Yesterday was Jill’s last day at Wollescote Walled Gardens and Dudley Mind. Before she left, she held the yearly Wollescote quiz for the volunteers who all work hard on the project, helping to maintain the gardens and make it the wonderful place it is.
Staff members from Dudley Mind also took part in the quiz, sadly we did not do too well coming in last place. As a result we did not get to choose from the selection of prizes on offer. Congratulations to the winning teams though, you deserved it.
After the quiz we all sat down for a byte to eat in the baking hot sun, just before the volunteers were given certificates and thanks by Jill herself for all of their hard work and commitment over the last few years on the project. The volunteers also gave Jill a couple of leaving gifts and a big thank you for all of the help and support she had given them during their time with her.
At the end of the day the Wollescote volunteers and Dudley Mind staff said their farewells to Jill and wished her all the best in her new job and future endeavors.
Goodbye Jill, you will be missed.
