Self Management Programme

Do you have anxiety or depression?

If so then this course might be for you.

Self management logoThe aim of the 6 week course is to help people feel more in control of their mental health by offering new skills and information on various topics to make it easier to manage on a daily basis. It’s also a chance to share with other people who have similar experiences.

Our tutors have lived with anxiety or depression themselves.

If you come along you will:

¨ Meet others who have similar experiences and be able to share   everyday coping strategies

¨ Learn relaxation techniques and ways to sleep better

¨ Find ways to manage difficult feelings such as anger, frustration and fear about the future

¨ Build your confidence and hopefully feel more in control

¨ Make plans each session that will help you over the coming week

¨ Receive a book with lots of useful information to support you after the course

We are working with the Dudley Self Management Programme to deliver these courses locally. The courses are open to Dudley residents or those registered with a Dudley GP and who have not done the course before. The sessions last for two and a half hours each week, with a tea break, for 6 consecutive weeks.
