The annual Birmingham CLASP Walking Out of Darkness event took place again this year on Saturday the 6th of May.
At the event, there were a few people who took part, helping to raise funds for Dudley Mind whilst raising mental health awareness.
First up we have Kirpal who helps run our friendly walking group who meet up every last Saturday of the month. If you would like to join our walking group please get in touch with Simon on 01384 442938 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org
Kirpal managed to href=”https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/kirpaldudleymind” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>raise £500 in total for Dudley Mind during the event! DPD, who Kirpal works for have kindly agreed to double the amount he raised bringing the total amount to £1000!!
Next up is one of our Facebook followers, Helen (left) and her friend Laura (right).
Helen did amazingly well, she was not sure that she would be able to do the walk, or even if she did, she didn’t think that she would be able to do the full 10 miles. However, with the support of her wonderful friend Laura, she managed to do the full 10 miles on the day!!
So far Helen and Laura have raised a total of £605 through their localgiving page.
There is still time to make donations on Helen and Laura’s localgiving page until the deadline in 8 days time. If you would like to make a donation and help Helen and Laura to raise funds for Dudley Mind you can do so here.
