This years World Mental Health Day takes place on Wednesday October 10th with the chosen theme of ‘Young People and Mental Healh.’
Growing up as a child can be stressful and just like adults, young people have mental health too. It is estimated that half of all mental health conditions are present by the age of 14 and that three in four children with a diagnosed mental health condition do not have access to the support they need.
World Mental Health Day 2018 aims to raise the awarness of young people and mental health, helping to improve the support and help avaialable to the young people diagnosed with a mental health problem who are not getting the support they need.
In our efforts to help with this, Dudley Mind are hosting a conference at our Wellbeing Cafe, Food for Thought in Stourbridge (next to Aldi on the ring road).
The event starts at 9.30am and finishes at 4.30pm.
