Today (4/2/21) is Time to Talk Day, a day where people are encouraged to talk about their mental health with each other.
By starting a conversation with others about our own mental health, we can in turn help others to open up about theirs too. We all have mental health, and we should all be able to talk about it as openly and as freely as we do about our physical health. Take the opportunity today to connect with a friend, colleague, family member, or even a complete stranger.
If you know someone who may be struggling with their mental health, start a conversation with them and let them know that it is ok not to be ok and that it is ok to talk about their mental health.
It is not always easy to start a conversation though, if you are finding it hard there are some useful tips on the Time to change website here: https://www.time-to-change.org.uk/blog/5-ways-start-conversation-about-mental-health
Time to Talk day is another way to help break the stigma surrounding mental health, we can all work together to help support each other and help to improve and save lives.
Black Country Healthcare Trust are holding a Time to Talk Mental Health webinar over Zoom today from 2:30pm - 4:00pm.
