Everyone in Halesowen is being urged to get a COVID PCR test, however mild their symptoms, in response to a rise in cases in the area.
While the number of cases across the borough is falling, Halesowen has seen a recent rise, with some cases being the variant first identified in India.
A drop-in COVID test centre is being set up in Birmingham Street car park, Halesowen, from Saturday 29 May, for people to visit without making an appointment. It will be open 10am-6pm, everyday for the next 2 weeks. The test centre can be accessed by car or on foot.
The test centre is being set up to help track any undetected cases and to prevent further spread of the virus. Reducing the spread will help us move to the next stage of the government roadmap.
If you have symptoms, are feeling unwell or think you have come into contact with someone with COVID-19, get a PCR test. PCR tests can also check for variants.
