The basics

COVID-19 remains a part of our lives, we have to learn to live with it. The basics are still vital:

  • carry on with ‘hands, face, space’ – we keep hearing it but it’s important

  • follow the rules to keep safe

  • meet outdoors it’s safer and keep letting fresh air indoors

  • get a PCR test if you have any symptoms no matter how mild, isolate until you get the results, along with your household, you can find a full range of symptoms at dudley.gov.uk/coronavirustesting

  • make lateral flow testing part of your week, symptom-free testing (LFT) is important as 1 in 3 people with COVID-19 show no symptoms. Doing these tests helps protect you, your family members, and friends from COVID-19. Everyone should test twice a week dudley.gov.uk/symptom-free-testing,

  • make sure you take the right test - which test you take usually depends on whether you have symptoms or not. PCR of you have symptoms, no matter how mild. LFT if you’re symptom free. Taking the right test helps protect us all. Find out more at dudley.gov.uk/coronavirustesting

This means staying at home with your household and not having visitors. If you don’t do this, you could be fined.

People are encouraged to be prepared in case they need to self-isolate. We’ve put together a handy guide to so people can think about this in advance.
