Kevin Keegan arrived in Dudley on Thursday the 19th of October for the Mayor of Dudley’s ‘Evening with Kevin Keegan’ at the Copthorne Hotel in Brierley Hill.
Around 300 people turned up for the event and got the chance to sit down for a meal and listen to stories from Kevin about his football carer and personal life, including an admission that he wanted to play for Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club growing up as a child.
All money from the sale of tickets was used to help raise funds for The Mayor’s three chosen charities – Dudley Mind, YMCA Black Country Group and Dudley Alzheimer’s Society.
Kevin also donated some of his personal belongings to be auctioned off on the night to help further raise funds for the Mayor’s three chosen charities including signed shirts and photographs.
In total £5,000 was raised during the ‘evening with Kevin Keegan’ and will be split between the Mayor’s chosen charities.
